WHAT THE BRITISH HOLIDAY PARKS QUALITY GRADING STARS MEAN
The Tourist boards together with the two trade associations - NCC and BH & HPA - run this voluntary grading scheme for licensed Caravan Parks in Britain.
Parks are inspected on an annual basis and are assessed for the overall quality of the Park's facilities, layout, landscape, atmosphere and so on, plus the inspector's overall impression.
They are graded on a scale of 1-5 stars, the more they have the better the Park, and since the quality is the key criteria a well kept country corner can receive the same status as a non-stop large resort with a wide range of facilities.
